Puppies and Golf is coming to the Schoolhouse 9 this Saturday
Puppies and Golf is Hosting a Fundraising Golf Outing at the Schoolhouse 9 this Saturday, October 15th. Puppies and Golf, a national non-profit founded by CBS Sports’ Amanda Renner, will host its first-ever course takeover at the Schoolhouse 9 in Sperryville this Saturday, October 15th, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Puppies & Golf was founded in 2020 to protect and advocate for dogs in need and help people understand and take advantage of the healing and health benefits of having a dog in their lives. They fulfill this mission by being a community resource, providing grants to families, shelters, rescues, and assisting our military veterans and organizations that rescue dogs and train them to become service animals for veterans in need.
“We are very excited to partner with the Schoolhouse 9 on this event,” said Amanda Renner, the organization’s founder, and president. Continuing, “Golf and dogs go hand in hand, and we believe golf is better when you play with your dog. We are grateful to places like the Schoolhouse 9 that allow you to bring your dog out to enjoy a beautiful day with you.
Puppies and Golf will begin a process later this year to certify dog-friendly courses -- like the Schoolhouse 9 -- across the country, so that pet owners will know where their furry friends are welcome.
Play will be casual and at your leisure between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm, with all proceeds benefitting Puppies and Golf. You are also invited to bring your dog to join in the fun.
Registration for the event starts at a $50 contribution for you and your dog. Hole sponsors are $150, including registration for four dogs and four humans. Tournament sponsorship is available for $1,000 and includes twenty registrations and event branding. You can register for the event by visiting puppiesandgolf.org.
